This year’s Parish Picnic Funday will be held on Saturday 29th September so gather friends and family for some great summers day fun.
Thanks to the generosity of Luttrellstown Castle & Golf Club, St Mochta’s Family Funday will be held once again in the grounds of the Castle
which proved so successful last year. It is a great family fun day and all are welcome to attend. So mark the date in your diary now.
Last year over 4,000 people attended the day. So if you can help please see Fr. Paul or Mary after Mass. There are many activities organised for the day for every age group; there will be fun for everyone.
The day starts at 12 noon and runs till 7 pm. Admission €10 per family/car.
Tickets are available from the Parish Pastoral Centre which covers
admittance, raffle and live entertainment all day.
Some of the events include:
Live Entertainment All Day, Marketplace – new, old, fun and fresh – everything goes! Vintage Car Rally, Old Style Carnival & Amusements, Archery, Pony Rides, BBQ & Bar, Face Painting – Bouncy Castles – Toddler Play Area, Bonny Baby Competition, Local GAA, Soccer and Rugby Clubs running Sports workshops

To help make this day a success there are a number of ways that you can help out over the coming weeks:
Sign up to help for an hour or longer on the day or with the planning and organising during the coming weeks. The event will require lots of man and woman power, If you are available to help out at any stage of the day with stalls, car parking, games/football, or set up and clean up after a fantastic day… please your name and contact details in the Sacristy after Mass or Parish Office.
If you have any of the following items that can be sold on the Stalls as part of our fund raising we will take them…
Unwanted gifts; prizes or unused gift vouchers
Bottles alcoholic or non-alcoholic
Handbags, Jewellery (new or used)
Books, CD’s DVD’s Or Games (all types)
Toys in good condition with all their parts!
Art, Paintings, pictures, frames
Homemade Bread, Cakes n’ Buns please nearer the time
Homemade jams/chutneys, etc.
Your old saucers & plates for a smashing time,
Or if you wish to donate a prize for our raffle – it would be most welcome.
Items can be dropped into the Sacristy after mass or to the Pastoral Centre during office hours in the weeks running up to the Picnic.
And we will have a Farmers Market, if you know anyone interested in taking a stall or if you could hand out leaflets to promote it at similar markets, please contact Mary Greene, at 0879892910, firstname.lastname@example.org or in the Parish Centre during the week.
