The 3rd Sunday of Lent, tells the story of the Cleansing of the Temple. When Jesus arrived the temple looked like a market place. Not only were animals being sold, but also money was being exchanged. Jesus was unhappy seeing how the Temple was being used and he told everyone to leave that it should be a place of prayer. While expaining his actions, Jesus was not talking about the Temple they were standing in, He was talking about the temple of His own body in which the Holy Spirit lived. Jesus declared that the temple would be destroyed and that He would rebuild it in three days. The Jews were thinking of the temple of stone, but Jesus was referring to His body.
